Is there anything better than summer in Maine? Me thinks not. The Bucchere/Leighton extended family spends a week on Peaks Island every summer and this year, they invited me to come spend an evening with them. This marked my third first-time visit to a Casco Bay island this year and it didn’t disappoint; taking the 20 minute ferry from Portland is a joy, getting picked up by a golf cart is an added bonus.
You may remember Jack and Henry from a few falls ago (look how small they were!!!) - the boys are now in kindergarten but still keeping everyone on their toes. This time around Kathryn’s family joined us as additional kiddo support. It was a beautiful night out on the island, sun setting on another perfect summer day in Maine.
