Sometimes I hope for fog. I love seeing the coast a bit differently, shrouded in a moody grey. That said, this fog was kinda wet and very muggy and warm, a little heavier than I would have chosen! But Chelsea and her family were troopers, exploring Reid State Park on a recent Sunday morning, introducing baby Lenora to the beach for the first time.
Lenora was born six weeks early back in mid-August, under six pounds but generally healthy. After a stint in the NICU, she was able to come home and they’ve settled into a routine of home schooling the two older girls, Charlotte and Isla, something they’ve elected to tackle through covid times. Our shoot also doubled as an opportunity for school pictures, something that they’d miss out on this year otherwise.
On a personal note, Chelsea and I used to skate together, many many moons ago (ie. 20 years ago). Neither of us could remember the last time we saw each other but it was fun to catch up and reminisce about the old days!
