Often when we imagine a photo shoot, we think golden hour or the most vibrant of Mother Nature’s summer hues. But sometimes it’s December and there’s no snow and no sun and no green trees and you make lemonade out of lemons. Or in our case, go to a big, bold, colorful mural in the middle of downtown Portland and let the kids do the rest.
Gwen and Preston’s mom, Katie, is one of my oldest friends from middle school. We spent a blustery afternoon walking around Portland, the kids being such great sports on an otherwise fairly unmemorable day. We made our way from Monument Square to Tommy’s Park and then down to the waterfront, followed by tacos and heat lamps for everyone at Teralingua.
