Casey and Brian got married on the last Saturday in July, a beautiful Cape Cod day at Casey's family's summer home. Having been to the property many times myself as a kid (my dad and Casey's dad are college BFFs), it was such a blast being back for the first time in over twenty years - my memories held up!
This wedding was put together in a relatively snappy seven months but you'd never know it. The bridesmaids were a vision in shades of blush while the guys looked dapper as ever in their navy suits. It was a group effort with the tent filled with ongoing prep when I arrived in the morning, the day after flowers had been assembled by the bridal party. When I jokingly suggested a golf cart for portrait transportation during our pre-wedding meeting, Brian took me very seriously and they had a tractor ready to take them away for a quiet moment! With the lake in the background, Casey and Brian exchanged sweet vows in front of over 200 friends and family looking on.
BBQ ribs and chicken were served for dinner followed by a Ben & Jerry's truck with six flavors for guests to choose from, in either a cup or a cone, so fun! Casey's sister and her boyfriend wouldn't let them get away with no cake however, surprising them with a Funfetti version for them to cut into. As a sweaty dance floor was nearing its end, the bride and groom made the swift decision to pay the band to stay another hour - they just weren't ready for it to end!
Casey and Brian, I can't thank you enough for including me on your wedding day, it was truly an honor. I hope your honeymoon in Hawaii was amazing!
