Two Januarys ago I had the distinct privilege of being the first to know that Kevin and Jess were expecting a baby in September. That privilege came to me by virtue of Jess and I co-officiating a wedding that month, resulting in me drinking most (all) of Jess' drinks over the weekend to help her cover. Needless to say, I barely kept the secret and was very hung over.
When Jess told me she was pregnant, one of the first things she mentioned was doing a shoot either on the beach in Gloucester or at the Fells in Medford. Much to the dismay of his family, baby Sam needed to warm up to the beach a little - combine that with schedules that were impossible to coordinate, we opted for a November shoot, just barely catching the end of the fall foliage. If you haven't been to the Fells, I'd highly recommend spending an afternoon there!
Jess and Kevin asked me to hold off on blogging their photos until after the holidays - as the days are now colder, shorter and grayer, I hope these images remind you that warmer days and brighter colors are always to come!
